Online media advertising majors at UTEP have access to bilingual and bicultural employers who are charting new paths in multicultural advertising. In this online program, students will learn strategy, planning, media and research, plus the basics of design and copywriting.

UTEP’s Media Advertising students learn and practice the process to create effective advertisements, from idea to storyboard to finished product. Meet a hospital marketing coordinator who uses the skills he learned through the program.
Alejandra Nevarez said the media advertising program offers courses that build knowledge and marketability. While at UTEP, she received a full-ride scholarship as a Terry Scholar and spent time in Washington, D.C., as an Archer Fellow. Today she is a digital marketing specialist with Oracle.
Graduates can work as advertising and marketing professionals in many different kinds of organizations. In addition to traditional agencies, nonprofits and businesses of all sizes also have in-house communication and marketing units.
