Digital media production majors tell important stories using the latest audio and video technologies. Students develop their creative, technical and conceptual skills both in the Communication Digital Media Lab and in the field on assignment throughout the vibrant Paso del Norte region.

El Paso native Stephanie Zamora grew up on both sides of the border. She honed her creativity and production skills through experience with the department’s sophisticated equipment, advanced software programs and faculty support. She is currently working to help launch a digital media production company.
Students graduate with a well-rounded education in the theory, practice and history of media production. They get jobs as production assistants, videographers and field producers in fields such as journalism, advertising and public relations.
