College of Engineering
Electrical engineering majors learn the physics of electricity and magnetism, the mathematics of circuits and systems, and the engineering tools of analysis and design. Students develop creative problem-solving skills through work with exemplary faculty, research in state-of-the-art labs and partnership opportunities with companies such as El Paso Electric, Blue Origin and NASA.
Students can obtain practical experience with internships at top companies such as Raytheon and Westinghouse
Conduct research in impressive labs and participate in cooperative engineering programs
Join groups such as the Louis Stokes Alliance Minority Group or Thin Film Photovoltaic Research Group
Raymond C. Rumpf, Ph.D., is a pioneer in 3D printing of high frequency circuits and electromagnetic devices. He founded the EM Lab in 2011 and his student research team has delivered several significant breakthroughs in electromagnetics and photonics.
