Sofia Del Toro-Chavez capitalized on her time in COBA’s Prudential Risk Management Academy. After working as an actuarial intern in Prudential Financial's corporate headquarters in 2019, Prudential created an actuary position for Sofia in El Paso in 2021.
Finance majors with a concentration in banking and financial institutions are prepared for careers in commercial banking, insurance, credit unions, investments, regulation, and consumer finance. Degrees in finance with a risk management concentration can lead to actuary, credit analyst and financial risk manager careers. Graduates from the financial analyst concentration can choose from a variety of career fields, including banking credit analyst, financial adviser, portfolio manager and more.
