The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology program offers three concentrations to prepare students for a wide range of health-related and fitness careers. Graduates are well prepared for certification through the American College of Sports Medicine.

Studying body movement and muscle function has helped UTEP softball player Camiron Pate Cathey knock it out of the park on the field and in the classroom. A three-time C-USA Academic Honor Roll recipient, Camiron has earned the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal twice.
UTEP kinesiology majors are prepared to work in a variety of fields related to fitness and exercise science. Careers include coach, athletic trainer, fitness instructor or exercise physiologist. Kinesiology graduates can also continue their education and pursue a master’s degree in rehabilitation sciences programs such as physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and occupational therapy.
