Flor Alejandra Urbina Araiza earned four scholarships, including the UTEP Study Abroad Scholarship in Prague, during her time as a mechanical engineering student. She also completed internships at Cummins and Microsoft. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in mechanical engineering and management at Hamburg University of Technology in Germany.
UTEP is a top 25 producer of mechanical engineering undergraduate degrees in the nation. Graduates find work in the aerospace, systems, biomedical, robotics and defense sectors as well as the energy sector.
