The multidisciplinary studies program allows students to take an array of courses and personalize their studies across different disciplines. Students can maximize the credits they already have earned and build a degree plan that best fits their own individual educational and professional goals.

Steven Brown’s interest in various fields such as psychology and communication propelled him to major in multidisciplinary studies. He said the program is great for those who have multiple interests, and could help them graduate faster. He earned a graduate degree in leadership studies and now works with UTEP’s Entering Student Experience.
Graduates with a degree in multidisciplinary studies can go into many fields, depending on students' selected areas of study, or be prepared for graduate school or military advancement.
