The multimedia journalism program offers students hands-on experience in UTEP's Multimedia Journalism Studio and with KTEP-FM. Students gain professional skills in photography, audio production, data visualization and video production while learning to be critical thinkers and excellent writers.

Anahy Y. Diaz has augmented her academics with an NBC Today show internship, and experience as editor of The Prospector, UTEP’s student newspaper. She praised the program for its access to mentors, and courses that provide hands-on experience.
