A B.S. in Rehabilitation Sciences is the first step toward a career in the rehabilitation professions, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation counseling and speech language pathology. UTEP is the only university in the region to offer the degree, which prepares students with the prerequisites required to apply to graduate programs throughout the country.

Multiple knee surgeries did not stop Paola Quiroz from crossing the stage to graduate from the rehabilitation sciences program with a 4.0 GPA. Instead, it strengthened her resolve to continue her education and pursue a career as an occupational therapist.
The rehabilitation sciences program provides students with the knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of graduate or professional education. Most rehabilitation professions require a master's degree.
