UTEP's theatre program trains students in a global repertoire of acting, design, tech and management. At the same time, students will cultivate a culturally and socially informed understanding of theater as an art and as a tool for social change.

Sabrina Fernandez, who earned her bachelor's in theatre with a concentration in costume design, developed her skills during a research project to help breast cancer survivors with their fashion choices. Her training helped her land an internship with Nordstrom that became a job as a stylist manager.
Graduates of the theatre and theatre arts programs are prepared with the skills necessary to succeed in graduate degree programs or have successful careers in professional and educational theatre.
