How Is Meredith Engaging Students in the Classroom?

Meredith uses an innovative "out of the box" teaching style, utilizing a multimodal pedagogy that encourages her students to express their perspectives through diverse technology-driven communication methods. Together, Meredith and her students have explored a wide variety of digital projects that include, 3-D immersive experiences, cinemagraphs, museum design, cooking, video ethnographies, blogs, and student-led conferences.


What do students think?

Students sign up for her classes prepared to be challenged. Graduate students who take her course often move on to conduct research using the technologies and techniques they explored in her classroom.


What’s Next?

Meredith plans to use AI to explore the role of ethics and critical thinking in technology. She also wishes to explore digital mapping.
