About the Biochemistry Program
- Biochemistry is the study of living systems through an understanding of chemistry, biology, mathematics, physics, and genetics.
- Biochemistry provides a sound foundation for careers in medicine, agriculture, the pharmaceutical industry, or advanced scientific research.
- The Biochemistry program at UTEP is certified by the American Chemical Society (ACS) and offers a rigorous degree plan that will prepare students for medical school, industry, and the most competitive graduate programs around the country.
- The Biochemistry degree plan was designed for students to develop technical and problem solving skills
