Mission and Goals of the Student Affairs Impact Team
Mission Statement
The UTEP Student Affairs Impact Team promotes a culture within Student Affairs that empowers all staff members across the Division to use assessment and evaluation practices to incorporate data in strategic planning , decision-making processes, and in the development, execution and refinement of programs and services. The Impact Team also identifies and implements strategies to widely communicate assessment and evaluation data throughout the Division and across the University allowing faculty, staff, students and other key stakeholders to understand how the Division supports the UTEP mission, as well as how strong assessment practices affect positive changes concerning programs, services, policies and procedures.Goals
- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities that maximize staff members’ capacity around assessment and evaluation practices
- Serve as a resource to review departmental assessment plans and provide feedback to improve quality and effectiveness
- Communicate key data points, trends and other relevant information to stakeholders
- Build and maintain a collection of assessment resources available to assist Division staff and UTEP community members
- Approach assessment as creative thinkers, forging new relationships with valuable partners and staying up-to-date on recent research and ideas
