With over 400 local and national clinical training facilities, the College of Health Sciences provides its students with hands-on practicum experience in most of its programs.
As a UTEP health sciences major, you will become prepared for a career in the fastest-growing professions in the nation through a degree in social work, public health, kinesiology, clinical laboratory sciences, rehabilitation sciences, physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation counseling, or speech-language pathology. Soon, you will gain the skills and knowledge you need to help improve lives every day through a career that is personally fulfilling. Participation in service learning projects and community-based research will enrich your educational experience and position you well for employment in local agencies, where opportunities abound.
As a CHS student, you will participate in high-impact learning experiences and work alongside award-winning faculty and community partners to develop meaningful interdisciplinary projects that are relevant to improving health outcomes locally and abroad.
