Like other Texas public universities, we use the ApplyTexas application. We accept applications throughout the year. There is no application fee for domestic applicants and we do not require a written essay for admissions. No matter who you are, where you come from, or what your story is, we’re confident that you’ll find your place at UTEP.
If you have graduated from high school, will soon graduate from high school, or will receive a GED, and you have not enrolled in another college or university since graduating, apply for freshman admission.
UTEP works with you to figure out how your credits will transfer and plan a path to graduation. If you attended another college or university after graduating from high school, and you have earned a minimum of 12 credit hours, apply as a transfer student. If you attended another college or university after graduating from high school and have earned fewer than 12 credit hours, apply through freshman admission.
