Stay in the loop with all the latest updates for Orange and Blue Day! UTEP's biggest open house will be packed with activities for you to explore, learn, and connect. We recommend downloading the UTEP Go App to stay up-to-date and receive important notifications regarding Orange and Blue Day and other events.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Check-in is open from 7:30 – 10:30 am
  • Parking will be located at the Sun Bowl Parking Garage and nearby lots.
  • Follow the signage from the parking garage to the Geology Lawn, where you will check-in for Orange and Blue Day!

Before arriving at Orange and Blue Day, make sure to download the UTEP Go App. When you open the app, select the Orange and Blue Day profile. This will provide details for all the activities happening at Orange and Blue Day. You will be able to identify activities based on your academic major and interests. You can also find out the steps needed to enroll and get your questions answered about financial aid and scholarships. You choose to visit the activities that YOU want – from housing and campus tours, meetings with Admission or Financial Aid counselors, information sessions and hands-on activities with our colleges, and even orientation sign-ups – we’ve got it all!

For example, if you're thinking about majoring in Nursing, attend one of their scheduled presentations at the Health Sciences Building, check out their Simulation Lab tours, then stop by Centennial Plaza to see a Recreational Center activity. If interested in Financial Aid, join the presentation at the UGLC and connect with a counselor at the Senior Corner.

In addition, you might want to stop by to chat with a current UTEP student and learn more about how to get involved on campus by visiting the student organization fair. You get to explore as many colleges or activities as you would like during Orange and Blue Day!

Yes! Orange and Blue Day is an event to showcase the amazing opportunities available at UTEP and help answer questions for high school juniors and seniors. Family members and friends are welcome to attend and encouraged to explore and participate in the many activities that will be available.

There is no cost to attend Orange and Blue Day!

We will have food vendors on site, and you may choose to purchase food or drink from the following:

  • Chick-fil-A: El Paso Natural Gas Conference Center
  • Texas Western Café: Library
  • Food Trucks: along Wiggins Road

Orange and Blue Day events take place both indoors and outdoors. Activities and tours will take place across the UTEP campus and will require walking. We encourage appropriate clothing and shoes be worn that will offer the most comfort.

If you are an out-of-town attendee or guest, contact UTEP’s Office of Admissions and Recruitment at 915-747-5890 or orangeandblueday@utep.edu for assistance with scheduling your visit and securing accommodations.

The event is scheduled to end at 1:00 PM.

We have two Welcome Presentations, and strongly encourage you to attend one after checking in to the event. The first Welcome Presentation begins at 8:30 AM and the second Welcome Presentation begins at 9:30 AM.
