The Hawkins Scholarship
Established by the President of UTEP, this scholarship will provide two awards to two UTEP students of outstanding intellect and character, who are committed to the service of others, and who show promise of becoming leaders capable of addressing important challenges facing humanity.

Incoming Freshmen/Transfer Students
Students graduating from high school or newly transferring students:
- Must be admitted to UTEP first to be considered for a scholarship award. Apply for admissions at applytexas.org

Current UTEP Students
Currently enrolled UTEP students must be enrolled full-time and have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or greater to qualify:

State Scholarships
Valedictorian
Highest ranking students from all accredited Texas High Schools will receive a certificate from the Texas Education Agency via their high school counselors. Original certificate will need to be turned in to the Office of Scholarships to begin processing. Please note that this scholarship covers tuition only.

Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
5th Year Accounting Scholarship
Texas resident students enrolled at a participating public, private or non-profit colleges and universities enrolled at least half time and have completed at least 120 hours of their college course work. These students must be approved by the UTEP Accounting Department Chair. For more details on eligibility requirements contact:
