Pre-Conference Activities
Kickoff your 21st Century Southwest Leadership Conference Drive-In Experience with one of our 3 pre-conference activities. This is a great way to connect with other conference attendees in a fun and interactive way! Some of the activities have an additional fee that is not included in the general registration*.You must be registered for the conference in order to attend one of these activities.
Pre-coference Activity #1
Downtown Trolley Tour, Museum Visit and Taste of El Paso.
Meet:
12:15pm at Hilton Garden Inn at the trolley stop, corner of University Ave and Oregon St.
Description:
12:15pm - 3:30pm - Let’s jump on the El Paso Trolley and go Downtown to explore some of the historic buildings and sites (bring change for the trolley!). You will learn a little history of the infamous San Jacinto Plaza and the surrounding buildings. Next, you will have a chance to eat at one of the many eateries available. We will then give you time to explore either the Museum of Art or El Paso History Museum before hopping back on the trolley for the Conference’s Kickoff Activities!
Fee: $3.50 for All-Access Trolley Pass
Maximum # of participants: 15
Required attire: Comfortable walking shoes as we’ll get off downtown and do a short walking tour.
Lunch: Plan on bringing money for lunch at one of the many eateries downtown. Est. cost for lunch is $10 - $13.

Pre-conference Activity #2:
Low Ropes Challenge Course
Meet
10:00am to noon at Centennial Plaza (outdoors)
Description:
Challenge is everywhere! The low ropes challenge course session is designed to explore group dynamics. Through this experience, participants will focus on teamwork, communication, planning, and organization. Come and join a safe and fun environment for all!
Required attire: Closed toe shoes, sun protection clothing, caps/hats.
*all participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to participating in this event.

Preconference Activity #3:
Game Room
1:00pm - 4:00pm at Tomás Rivera Conference Room, Union Bldg. East., 3rd Floor
Description:
Come and release your inner gamer! Join us for an afternoon packed with gaming fun. Pick from a variety of consoles and video games. If video gaming is not what you’re looking for, come and select from a variety of board and table top games. This session guarantees lots of fun where everyone will be a winner.
