The UTEP Library Usage of UB students
Any UTEP Upward Bound student who has his/her UTEP Upward Bound Miner Id Card, you may check out items from the UTEP Library. Please fill out the following UTEP Upward Bound LIbrary Application with your and your guardian's signatures before you go to the UTEP LIbrary.
Each student from the Upward Bound Program will be allowed to:
- Check out a maximum amount of 5 books for 28 days.
- Check out items from the Main Stacks collection.
- Check out items from the Government Documents section.
The students will NOT be allowed to:
- Check out items from the children’s collection or the browsing section.
- Check Out items without their UTEP Student ID.
If books are not returned within 10 days past the due date the students will receive a letter stating they owe the cost of the book; However if the billed items are returned we will be able to waive any fees generated by the students. Unfortunately if the item is not returned or if the item is lost, the cost of the book will remain on the student’s record generating a hold if the student tries to register for a class at UTEP. The hold will be removed only if the student clears this balance or replaces the lost item with an exact edition of the book as the books are State property.
