UTEP’s CARE Department is here to help you navigate life’s challenges and stay focused on your success. Our team takes a wraparound approach to support your well-being—offering personalized guidance, resources, and advocacy when you need it most. CARE programs and initiatives include:

Miner Support

Miner Support provides individualized support for students facing personal, academic, financial, or social challenges. Our team reviews Person of Concern reports and connects students with resources to promote safety, well-being, and academic success. The Stronger Together Fund also provides short-term financial assistance during unexpected hardships, helping them stay enrolled and focused on their academic goals.

UTEP Food Pantry

The UTEP Food Pantry provides free, nutritious food to students facing food insecurity, helping ensure that no Miner goes hungry. Students can visit the pantry to pick up groceries and personal care items that support their overall well-being and academic success. CARE also hosts a weekly Mobile Pantry in partnership with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger to bring additional food resources directly to campus.

Victim Advocacy program

The Victim Advocacy program provides confidential support, information, and resources to members of the UTEP community who have experienced sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, stalking, or other forms of interpersonal harm. Advocates help individuals understand their rights, explore options, and connect with campus and community services. CARE’s advocates are here to listen, believe, and empower survivors on their path to healing.
