About Inclusion and Advocacy
Inclusion & Advocacy programs aspire to be the beacon of equity for The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) community. By assisting students in seeking commonalities and celebrating differences amongst their community, students will be better prepared to enter the post-collegiate world. Students will gain the skills and resources needed to leave the university with a more defined global perspective.
Accomplishing this will require an inclusive campus that allows students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members to use their multicultural talents to make contributions to the academic, research, service, and teaching mission of The University of Texas at El Paso. Our inclusion efforts adhere to a broad and comprehensive definition of:
- Diversity & Inclusion: socio-economic status, veteran status, first-generation status, race/ethnicity, nationality, religion, age, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation and other social identity dimensions that are a critical part of UTEP.
