Dr. Shuvo is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri in 2024, where he also completed his M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2021. He received his B.Sc. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) in Bangladesh in 2014.
His research interests include applied machine learning for healthcare, AI hardware and systems, edge intelligence, wearable signal analytics, and biomedical electronics. His work integrates artificial intelligence and hardware design to develop efficient, intelligent, and scalable biomedical and edge-computing systems.
Prior to joining UTEP, Dr. Shuvo served as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at KUET from 2015 to 2019. His academic excellence has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Outstanding Ph.D. Student Award and EECS Travel Fellowship Award from the University of Missouri, as well as the Prime Minister’s Gold Medal from the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh and the University Gold Medal from KUET.
