Dr. Palvi Aggarwal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at El Paso. Her research integrates cybersecurity, human-machine teaming, and cognitive modeling to understand and influence adversarial decision-making in cyber contexts. Before joining UTEP, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University’s Dynamic Decision Making Laboratory.
Dr. Aggarwal has received multiple research grants from agencies such as IARPA, the Department of Defense, and the National Science Foundation. Her work has earned several Best Paper Awards at international venues including HICSS, GameSec, and AHFE. She is also a recipient of IIT Mandi’s Young Alumni Achiever Award for Academic Excellence. Her research has been published in leading journals such as Computers & Security, Frontiers in Psychology, and Cognitive Science.
