Priscila Madrid is a Research Assistant at the Institute for Applied AI Innovation (AAII) at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). She works across AAII's six lines of business. Her work includes assisting with applied AI research initiatives, consulting for regional organizations, delivering community outreach through bilingual AI literacy workshops for older adults, managing the institute's communications strategy, and developing software for the Translational AI Lab.
Before joining AAII, Priscila trained convolutional neural networks as an in-person summer research intern at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, wrote automated tests on the quality assurance team at Eaton's Thomas A. Edison Technical Center, and reverse-engineered a laser toolpath format at UTEP's W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, with a minor in mathematics, from UTEP in 2025.
