Dr. Shirley V. Moore is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). She received her PhD in Computer Sciences from Purdue University in 1990. Her research areas are in high performance and parallel computing, including parallel and distributed deep learning. She has worked in high performance computing research for 35 years. She has published numerous conference and journal papers in the area and has been involved in developing widely used software for performance measurement and analysis.
