Congratulations on your decision to pursue a career in the education field! Teaching can be a very rewarding experience and we look forward to helping you reach your goals. As you continue your journey to The University of Texas at El Paso from another institution, please know that we are here to help and guide you along the way. The College of Education, in collaboration with our regional partner school districts, provide multiple, substantial and varied experiences in schools that help student teachers build a strong foundation to understand learning theories and educational practices that enhance all students’ learning.
The student teaching experience involves the following:
- One semester-long placement in our partnered school campuses
- Provide multiple, substantial and varied experiences in schools
- Help student teachers to refine the knowledge, skills, and dispositions they have developed as active participants in the College of EducationTeacher Preparation Program.
