Mentoring & Professional Development
Makerspace: Laser Engraving
Students used Glowforge laser engraving machines independently for the first time — working with wood, acrylic, and paper to prototype projects through hands-on trial, troubleshooting, and design.

Stress Balance Workshops
From painted rocks and DNA necklaces to slime making, DIY products, and professional development sessions — CREATE students engage in creative, hands-on activities designed to foster wellness, mindfulness, and balance.

Schneider Electric
Our Industry Connections Team met with Tracy Huhn, Public Partnership Lead for West Texas & New Mexico at Schneider Electric, for a roundtable on careers, community, and collaboration.
Campus Outreach
Bucks for a Boost Fundraiser ⛏
The CREATE Makerspace Project Group turned their semester of technical training into community impact — hosting a fundraiser featuring wood puzzles, keychains, magnets, and more, all designed and made in-house.

Lunar Living
CREaTE students lead, connect, and create — the Bridge Builders team presented Lunar Living tips and led campus tours while Sofia and her team delivered engaging E-Lead presentations.

AI Coding Hands-On Workshop
Impactful STEM leadership - shout out to Savannah Pitcher who planned, prepared and led a fun AI coding workshop for the CREATE Campus tour, covering Generative AI and cybersecurity.

Our Programs

STEMFuerte
Partnering EPCC and UTEP to foster success for first-time in college Hispanic and low-income students in STEM fields. Collaboratively, we advance access to excellent education for talented students with innovative and effective multidisciplinary STEM instruction plus targeted high-quality support resources.

STEMSHINE
The STEMSHINE program serves to increase student success in science, technology, engineering and math in ways that are inclusive of all students. Leveraging technology to fit today's students' needs and providing job-embedded professional growth, prepares our students for the jobs of the future.

Tech-E
Tech-E is a community outreach program for K-12 students supporting and encouraging STEM and STEAM development. Through community outreach, students are able to learn and develop their skills in emerging technological industries such as coding, 3D printing, and more.

Tech-E Teach
Tech-E Teach is a mentorship program for teachers within STEM and STEAM fields. Tech-E Team offers creative ways for teachers to help students achieve their maximum potential both in and out of the classroom.

GAIA Makerspace
Makerspace at GAIA provides learning opportunities for everyone by promoting an environment where you can imagine, create, and inspire. Located on the second floor of the UGLC room 202, it's a space designed and dedicated to hands-on creativity with personalized learning.
