ECHS Student Orientation
ECHS Students: With the support of the Enrollment Services division, the ECHS Academic Success Center is here to support your transition to the University as you finalize your studies at El Paso Community College. Two ECHS Student Orientation sessions are held per year; one in the Fall, to support ECHS seniors who will be starting at UTEP in the Spring, and one session in the Spring for all ECHS students who will start over the next Fall or Summer terms. Traditional seniors are encouraged to register for an Orientation session during the Spring semester of their Senior year.
We strongly encourage you to consider the information on this page carefully, and to be on the lookout for our campus visits with the assistance of your ECHS counselor. This page will be updated every semester, with new dates and deadlines for the next ECHS New Student Orientation session. See you soon!
FALL 2026 Orientation
Class of 2027 ECHS Orientation
This orientation session will be held for Class of 2027 ECHS students who will be starting at UTEP in Summer 2026, Fall 2026, or Spring 2027 as high school seniors. You must complete the ApplyTexas process in advance of your orientation session , with a deadline of TBD.
Your UTEP ECHS Program Coordinator or Manager will be scheduling a presentation to share information about New Student Orientation, the Goldmine System, and confirming your major. Attention Class of 2027
Freshman Student Orientation is mandatory for all students attending UTEP for the first time. If you participated in the Accelerated Program during the current academic year, you do not need to attend Freshman Student Orientation again. However, all seniors who have never attended UTEP must attend a session to meet with their academic advisor, learn about campus resources, and register for classes.
As an ECHS senior with prior college experience, we encourage you to register for one of the following two sessions:

* To qualify for these early orientation sessions, you must have a “College Ready” designation on your TSI or meet one of the listed TSI exemption requirements . Please request that your EPCC transcript be sent to UTEP if you have taken courses that meet these requirements.
There will be more orientation sessions available throughout the summer of 2027. However, we strongly encourage you to sign up for one of the two sessions listed above. You will probably be registering for upper-level classes with limited capacity, so it is in your best interest to register for classes early during one of these sessions.
