Mini Miners College Fun Day
Inspiring Young Learners Through Exploration and Discovery
Mini Miners College Fun Days (MMCFD) is UTEP Innovation in Outreach's signature elementary outreach program, designed to introduce young students to the world of higher education through engaging, interactive, and memorable experiences.
Hosted on the UTEP campus, this annual event welcomes elementary students from across the region for a day of exploration, learning, and fun. Participants have the opportunity to experience a university campus, interact with UTEP faculty, staff, and students, and discover the many possibilities that education can provide.
Through hands-on activities, educational workshops, demonstrations, and campus experiences, students are encouraged to dream big, explore their interests, and begin imagining themselves as future college students.
Students May Have Opportunities To:
- Explore the UTEP campus
- Participate in hands-on STEM and educational activities
- Learn about college and career pathways
- Engage with university departments and student organizations
- Experience interactive learning opportunities
- Build confidence and future aspirations
- Discover how education can help them achieve their goals
