Harry Flournoy
Harry Flournoy is originally from Gary, Indiana. He only played for six minutes in the championship game, grabbing two boards and scoring two points before leaving with a twisted left knee. However, following the victory he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated rebounding a ball over Pat Riley.
After his career at Texas Western, Flournoy became a teacher and basketball coach at an elementary school in El Paso, Texas. He went into business after teaching in El Paso and was in sales for more than 30 years. He was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.
Harry and his wife reside in McDonough, Ga., a surburb of Atlanta. The Flournoys have a blended family of eight children.
