Ruqaiijah Yearby, J.D., M.P.H, is a full professor and member of the Center for Health Law Studies at Saint Louis University School of Law. She is also co-founder and Executive Director of Saint Louis University’s Institute for Healing Justice and Equity. Recently, Professor Yearby received over $2 million in grant funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to study the equitable enforcement of housing laws and structural racism in the health care system. Using empirical data, her research explores the ways in which discrimination prevents vulnerable populations from attaining equal access to quality health care, resulting in health inequities.
