Lab Members
Graduate students in the PATCH lab are provided with the opportunity to conduct individual research projects, assist in larger lab research projects, and participate in grant and manuscript writing. They are instrumental in data collection and analysis. Graduate students also receive clinical training, such as learning to conduct focus groups and interventions specifically on individuals interested in quitting smoking. PATCH lab graduate students have gone on to be accepted to Clinical and Counseling Ph.D. programs.

Undergraduate students in the PATCH lab have the opportunity to get experience with conducting research. Undergraduates learn how to collect, enter, and manage data, as well as learn proper research protocol. They are encouraged to get involved with ongoing projects in the lab as well as develop their own from IRB proposals to manuscript writing. In addition, undergraduates are assisted in the process of applying for graduate schools. Getting such experience gives our undergraduates a much needed competitive edge and makes them ideal candidates for graduate school. Undergraduates who volunteered in the PATCH lab have gone on to pursue Master's and Ph.D. programs in Clinical Psychology.
