Welcome to the The University of Texas at El Paso's Philosophy department website!
We invite you to join us. Our faculty and staff strive to develop an awareness in all our students of our collective responsibility in creating and maintaining a fair and ethical society. We work on the principle that the failure to provide opportunity for all is illogical and that philosophy is a practical discipline, providing us all with the tools to understand our humanity and to prosper as productive human beings.
