Dr. Noell Birondo Presents at Lewis & Clark College

Oct. 15, 2021: Dr. Noell Birondo, Professor of Philosophy, presented his paper 'Aristotle and Aztec Human Sacrifice' at the colloquium series of the Department of Philosophy at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon at the invitation of Dr. Joel Martinez and Dr. J. M. Frtizman. The paper discusses the defense of Aztec human sacrifice delivered by the Spanish friar Bartolomé de Las Casas in front of the Spanish tribunal convened in 1550 to consider the nature of the indigenous peoples of the Americas.
