Philosophy Professor Honored with Prestigious Fellowship

Dr. Deepanwita Dasgupta has been honored with a prestigious fellowship in residence at the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Philosophy of Science, as well as a competitive leave award from UTEP’s Faculty Incentive Program for Fellowship Recipients offered by the Office of the Provost. Dr. Dasgupta will be in residence at the Center for spring semester 2023 to work on several projects which follow up her well-received book Creativity from the Periphery: Trading Zones of Scientific Exchange in Colonial India (“highly recommended” by CHOICE).
