We Work To:

  • Strategically reduce the impact of epidemics and pandemics in high-burden areas for communities around the world,

  • Implement and advance transnational evidence-based approaches among high-risk priority populations for improved health and education outcomes in partner communities, and

  • Advance the use of technology, community, and innovation for greater healthcare access and equity.

In March 2021, 7 UTEP MPH Student Mentors and 20 Imbeleko Student Mentees kicked off a new virtual peer-mentoring program connecting students from El Paso to South Africa. Peer mentors and mentees have discussed topics related to education, culture, health/well-being, and more!
