Registering for Freshman Orientation
You can register for orientation in two ways:
- Log in to the Future Miner Portal using the same email and password you used to apply to UTEP.
- Or contact the Office of New Student Orientation by phone or email, and we will register you for a session.
Be ready to provide your UTEP ID number when calling or emailing.

- Orientation is personalized based on your academic major.
- Sessions fill quickly, so register early.
ADMITTED FOR SPRING 2026
Students are required to attend all day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with check-in starting at 7:30 a.m. on Day 1.

+ You must attend Day 1 to complete orientation. Day 2 is advising for Day 1 attendees. Reserve both days since advising is scheduled after Day 1.
ADMITTED FOR SUMMER / FALL 2026
You must attend both days to complete the orientation requirement. Check-in begins at 7:00 a.m. each day. Friday runs 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday runs 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
