The 2016 UTEP Department of Art Biennial Faculty Exhibition showcased work by the distinguished faculty members of the UTEP Department of Art. The show featured in a wide range of media including ceramics, metals, sculpture, painting, printmaking, drawing, performance and graphic design. The focus of this year’s show was based on examining the ‘creative life’ of working artists. Over the course of the exhibition, the Rubin Center hosted a variety of panel discussions from the participating artists who discussed what it means to have an active and sustainable ‘creative life'.

Creative Life Services

What are the essential elements that sustain a creative life over time? This series engaged UTEP Faculty Artists in candid conversations about their creative lives in an informal setting. The discussions were open to the public but were lead by upper level art students enrolled in Professional Practices and preparing to graduate and launch their own careers in the arts.
