2016–present

Biodiversity Collections (BIOL 1108). Lecture & Laboratory. Department of Biological Sciences, University of Texas at El Paso, El Paso, TX. Duties: primary instructor for course for freshmen students, which is focused on retaining students in the STEM fields. Funded by the HHMI grant, students learn the importance of biodiversity collections while helping to upgrade and organize specimen conditions and data.

Evolutionary Genetics (BIOL 1107). Lecture & Laboratory. Department of Biological Sciences, University of Texas at El Paso, El Paso, TX. Duties: primary instructor for course for freshmen students, which is focused on retaining students in the STEM fields. Funded by the HHMI grant, students generate sequence data for barcoding of unidentified specimens in the UTEP Biodiversity Collections.

Guest Lecturer. Department of Biology, Villanova University, Villanova, PA. Evolution & Evolution Laboratory. Duties: Designed and delivered two 50-minute lectures on classification and phylogenetic methods for an undergraduate course, and explained and demonstrated the process of DNA purification in laboratory.
