2025 AFTE Scholarship Program
To recognize outstanding forensic science students and to encourage students to pursue a career in the firearm and tool mark identification field of the forensic science profession, the Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners (AFTE) has established a scholarship program.
Students enrolled in a natural, physical, or biological science degree program at an accredited university with the objective of a forensic science career, can apply to receive a one-time scholarship award of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00). The application process is not difficult but does require an official transcript and three letters of recommendation. The eligibility requirements and application instructions can be found on the AFTE website at:

The application submission period is between January 1 and April 1, 2025.
