1. Get advised and register early every semester! You will meet with your CORE Advisor to have your Major and Secondary Education hold released. Make an appointment at https://www.utep.edu/science/core/.

2. Keep an advising folder and bring it with you to your advising meetings. It should include:

Advising forms

Degree plan (You should track and update this each semester)

Graduation plan

Copies of any other advising contracts, course substitution forms, etc.
3. By the start of your Junior year you should have a plan for graduation! You may use this template. Include:

Courses you plan to take each semester. Remember that the student teaching course (SCED 4691) will be taken by itself your last semester at UTEP
