Chairs Welcome
I am truly honored to serve as the Staff Council Chair for the 2025–2027 academic years. Over the past few years, I have had the privilege of watching the Council grow and establish a strong and respected presence within the university community. This growth has been a reflection of the dedication, collaboration, and hard work of staff members across campus. As Chair, I am committed to building on that foundation and continuing the momentum that has brought us this far.
Our goals for this term are both ambitious and meaningful. We aim to enhance communication between the Council and the broader campus community, ensuring that every staff member feels informed, heard, and valued. We are also excited to reinstate our Staff Council newsletter as a way to celebrate accomplishments, share important updates, and highlight the incredible work of our colleagues. Additionally, we hope to increase staff engagement and professional growth through a variety of workshops and social opportunities that foster connection, collaboration, and a greater sense of belonging. These efforts, along with several other initiatives we plan to implement, are all designed to strengthen our campus community and promote an inclusive and supportive environment for all staff.
At the heart of our mission is our dedication to serving as the unified voice of staff members and providing meaningful support wherever we can. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead and work alongside such a passionate and committed group of individuals who care deeply about the well-being and morale of our campus community. Together, we can continue to make UTEP a place where every staff member feels empowered, appreciated, and connected.
