Now that you have been admitted, take the next steps to become a Miner.
All new students are required to set up a Miners account to access official UTEP email, online services, and student portals. Use the Help Desk chat feature and your UTEP ID number provided in your acceptance letter to complete the process.
Orientation is required for all freshmen and transfer students, and provides you a successful transition into college life at UTEP. At orientation, you will learn about your major, connect with your academic advisor, and register for classes.
With more than 70 undergraduate degrees, an inclusive student body, and beloved traditions, there’s nowhere quite like UTEP. There are many ways to find out if UTEP is a good fit for you. Schedule a campus visit and explore majors to begin to see yourself as a Miner.
