Jeanne Clery Act
The “Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act” requires that each institution of higher education in the United States which participates in federal student aid programs must produce and distribute an annual report containing crime statistics and statements of security policy. The University of Texas at El Paso and the University Police Department place a high priority on campus safety and protection of assets to ensure a peaceful campus environment. The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report contains important information regarding campus safety and security.
The fire safety report contains information with respect to the fire safety practices and standards for UTEP. This report includes statistics concerning the number of fires, the cause of each fire, the number of injuries and deaths related to a fire, and the value of the property damage caused by a fire in the Student Residential areas.
The Campus Crime Statistics and the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report are available here.
