The Dean of Students Office provide leadership and oversight to many departments all of whom promote educational and leadership experiences that prepare students to serve their communities and respect the dignity of all persons.

The University’s policies that apply to students are published annually in both the undergraduate and graduate catalogs. In an instance of perceived violation of a University policy, a student may file a complaint. The complaint process and required steps are found within the catalog. In addition, students have the option to a file formal complaint against the University of Texas at El Paso at the state level through the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board or through the University’s accreditation agency Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
