About Us

Founded in 2014, the UTEP Food Pantry provides support and assistance to UTEP students experiencing food insecurity.

Food insecurity means having limited access to enough food, whether due to financial constraints or other barriers. This can include a lack of variety, reduced food quality, or difficulty obtaining food in a socially acceptable way.

Research suggests that nearly half of all college students struggle with food insecurity.

At UTEP, we recognize that food insecurity can be a major obstacle to student success. That’s why we are committed to ensuring students have access to the resources they need to meet their basic needs.
