Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity Council is the governing body of the North American Interfraternity Conference at UTEP. UTEP hosts five Interfraternity Chapters out of the total 66 National Fraternities. Founded in 1909, IFC serves to enrich the fraternity experience, advance and grow the fraternity community, and enhance the educational experience of fraternity members.

Recruitment

During the Fall and Spring semesters, IFC chapters host recruitment events throughout the entirety of the semester. Recruitment is a mutual selection process that allows for potential new members and chapters to find the best organizational fit.

Students interested in joining an Interfraternity Council (IFC) fraternity can do so by participating in the IFC’s formal recruitment process. This is a process in which there are certain events planned and executed by the Interfraternity Council that give Potential New Members (PNM’s) the opportunity to meet fraternity members. PNM’s are encouraged to attend all events during this time period.

If you are interested in joining an IFC fraternity on campus, you can fill out an interest form  HERE

Many of our members join through the formal recruitment process. However, chapters are open to receive new members all throughout the year. Anytime is the right time to join an IFC Fraternity.
