Tabling Guidelines
This policy applies to the use of tables, booths, displays, or any temporary structure or enclosure for the purposes of distributing information or materials, displaying signage, raising funds, or other promotional activities.
University departments and Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) may reserve designated areas for tabling at the Union Complex and the El Paso Natural Gas Conference Center through the Union Services office along with tables, chairs, easels, and other items. Requests for tabling must be submitted to the Union Services office at least 24 hours in advance. Requests are accepted on a “first come, first served” basis and are subject to availability and approval by Union Services staff. Union Services reserves the right to approve, reject, or modify tabling reservations as deemed necessary and appropriate in accordance with the vision and mission of the Union. Tabling may not be moved from its assigned location(s) and must not impede traffic flow or interfere with other activities. Any tabling that violates these policies will be removed.
Tabling must be supervised at all times by an official member of the department, organization, or entity for whom the reservation was made. Neither Union Services nor the University shall be responsible for any damaged or stolen materials. At the conclusion of the activity, those conducting the activity must properly dispose of any trash and leave the area in the same condition in which it was found. Departments and organizations who disregard these policies will be denied future tabling requests.
Cancellation of tabling space must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
