UNIV 1301 is a freshman seminar course designed to enhance your academic and social transition to college life. The course is taught by a teaching team that consists of the instructor, a research librarian, an academic advisor, and a student peer leader who work together to provide a strong network of support for you as you learn how to navigate college life. In short, UNIV 1301 will help you strengthen your Edge Advantages while getting you engaged in Edge Experiences. We will do this by building your five pillars of success: agency, belonging, engagement, academic success and professional preparation. These five pillars will serve as the foundational support system of your experiences at UTEP.
