My hobbies outside of school include hiking, camping, and playing guitar. Running around looking at things and exploring new places has always been one of my favorite activities. I think that comes from an innate need to search for something meaningful everywhere. Whenever I look around places, I always feel a sense of wonder and curiosity which in turn makes me feel humble and small. They’re always a bit of history which makes places and people have depth and layers to them. I guess I just like to learn in that way.
Certain life experiences have taught me to be “functional first” about writing. During the time I’ve been in this university, I’ve had to learn how to read/write research papers, which focus on the essential information that is going to be presented to the reader, and nothing else. Keeping only what is necessary and discarding everything else is a principle that I keep coming back to whenever I read to understand a piece of research or someone’s paper.
